Product Overview
The NOVASTILE 550 GSM Bamboo Mattress Topper transforms your mattress with a thick, plush pillow-top surface made from naturally cooling bamboo viscose and polyester fill. At 550 GSM, it adds meaningful cushioning that noticeably softens a firm mattress or refreshes an aging one. The bamboo viscose cover wicks moisture and breathes better than synthetic-only alternatives, making it an ideal choice for sleepers who tend to sleep warm. Frequently Asked Questions
What depth mattress does this pad fit?
The elastic deep pocket skirt stretches to fit mattresses up to 18 inches deep, covering most standard, memory foam, and hybrid mattresses.
Is this mattress pad machine washable?
Yes. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water (max 30°C). Tumble dry on low or no heat. Shake well to restore loft after drying.
How long does re-fluffing take after washing?
Shake vigorously for about 5 minutes after removing from the dryer, then allow 24–48 hours for the fill to fully recover its loft.
Will this pad shift during the night?
No. The elastic fitted skirt wraps snugly around the mattress perimeter and stretches to hold position through the night, even with movement.
Does this mattress pad protect against spills?
It provides a protective quilted layer over the mattress surface. For full waterproof protection, a separate waterproof mattress protector would be needed underneath.
Why bamboo viscose for a mattress topper?
Bamboo viscose is naturally moisture-wicking and more breathable than standard polyester. It helps regulate sleeping temperature by drawing heat and moisture away from the body — especially beneficial for warm sleepers or in warmer climates.
How much does 550 GSM change the feel of my mattress?
Noticeably — 550 GSM adds a substantial plush layer that softens a firm mattress and smooths out surface unevenness. It's a meaningful upgrade if you want a more hotel-like sleep surface.
How is 550 GSM different from the 1000 GSM topper?
Both are bamboo viscose and cooling, but 1000 GSM is roughly twice as thick and provides maximum plush depth. 550 GSM is the mid-range option — noticeably cushy without being excessively deep.

The Novastile Plush Comfort Bamboo Mattress Topper adds a smooth, naturally cooling layer to your Queen 60x80 inch bed with a 550 GSM pillow-top loft. At this fill weight the topper lands in a lighter plush range: enough added cushion to soften a mattress that feels a touch too firm and to ease pressure that can lead to back discomfort, while still staying low profile and easy to live with night after night. The surface is finished with a bamboo viscose and polyester blend that feels silky against the skin and breathes well, so it helps carry heat away instead of trapping it, a real benefit for anyone who tends to sleep warm. Inside, a down alternative fill gives soft, resilient support that cradles the body without the heaviness of a thicker topper. An elastic deep-pocket skirt stretches over the corners and holds the topper securely in place, fitting over a mattress and pad together without popping off at night. To care for it, shake it vigorously for up to five minutes to restore fluffiness and allow 24 to 48 hours for it to regain full loft; machine wash gentle below 30 degrees Celsius, no bleach, tumble dry with no heat, and keep it away from flame. If you want hotel-style softness and cooling comfort in a lighter, easygoing loft, the 550 GSM is the balanced choice.
